June 3, 2016
Education and capacity building have always been a part of the HQCA’s mandate, and fit with our strategic framework to build capacity, including enabling high quality and safe patient care by assisting stakeholders at multiple levels to develop skills in system improvement – key to this is our quality and safety education program, recently launched as our Centre for Collaborative Learning & Education (CCLE).
Collaborative learning – our focus is on teaching healthcare providers with various roles in the health system about quality and patient safety all together – we have pharmacists, nurses, physicians, allied health and quality and safety professionals all learning together
Collaborative education – our courses have been successful because of our strong partnership with the University of Calgary Faculty of Medicine’s W21C and Office of Continuing Medical Education & Professional Practice
