Patient Experience Awards

The Health Quality Council of Alberta (HQCA) and our Patient/Family Safety Advisory Panel established the Patient Experience Awards to recognize and celebrate initiatives in Alberta that promote a positive patient experience.


Applications will be accepted from January 8 to February 11, 2018. Please see the application guide and form for full details and to apply.

These awards are for any individual or team of healthcare workers in Alberta involved in designing and implementing an initiative that made a significant positive impact on patients’ experiences in accessing or receiving healthcare services.

The selected initiatives will receive funding (to a maximum total of $2,500) to attend or host a patient experience, quality, or patient safety education event. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to share details about their initiative through a webcast.

Over the last two years we have been amazed by the outstanding work underway in our province.
