From April to June 2024, we will be surveying home care clients on their experiences with the services they receive. This survey is being conducted with the cooperation of Alberta Health Services and Alberta Health.
Who is being surveyed?
We’ve expanded this survey, from previous seniors home care surveys, to include all home care clients who are:
– 18 years and older and cognitively well
– currently receiving home care services, or received services in the last six months
– one of the following home care client types: acute, long term supportive, maintenance, rehabilitation, wellness
– receiving home care services in ANY setting EXCEPT long term care, designated supportive living, or a hospice

Previous Alberta Seniors Home Care Client Experience Surveys
The HQCA conducted home care surveys in 2015 (report released in 2016) and 2018/19 (report released in 2019) that captured feedback from seniors, ages 65 and older, about their experience with long term supportive or maintenance home care services.
