To help educate healthcare providers and physicians about disclosure, we support the training of situation managers in the U.S.-based Institute for Healthcare Communication’s Disclosure of Unanticipated Medical Outcomes (DUMO) program . DUMO is the standard for disclosure-skills training that supports the establishment of disclosure policies in the acute-care sector of Alberta’s health system.
