An integral part of the HQCA’s mandate is to engage with Albertans on their experience and satisfaction with patient safety, person-centred care, and health service quality. Surveys provide us with vital insight into Albertans’ experiences with the healthcare system. The input we gather is a key measure of quality and source of information to improve care and services.
The HQCA has been conducting surveys in various areas of the health system since 2003, and when possible, compares new results with those of previous years. We share our findings with the public, healthcare providers, professionals, and policymakers.
